Dustback Helamites are compact, desert-dwelling beasts favored by the Ash Waste Nomads. They resemble armored, arthropod-like creatures with a dusty, layered carapace that catches sand as they trundle across the dunes. Their backs bear serrated ridges and scavenged metal bits, giving a rugged, industrial look that hints at a life spent scavenging and surviving in the ash wastes. Painted in warm ochres and rusts with weathered leathers and brass fittings, they epitomize the Nomads’ grit and resourcefulness.
