Rapanse de Lyonesse is a noble Bretonnian knight-errant from Lyonesse, a legend of chivalry forged in the Lady’s name. The miniature portrays him in gleaming plate armour with a tall helmet and plume, a flowing blue cloak, and the Lyonesse heraldry on his shield, ready with a lance in one hand and a sword at his hip. Mounted on a stately warhorse and flanked by flourishes of fleur-de-lis, he makes a storied centerpiece for a Grail Knight or a Horseman in the Kingdom of Bretonnia.
